New Presidents - 2023 October Report

Dear Guilderton Golf Club Members,

 

As the nominated Guilderton Golf Club President, may I firstly say a big thank you to all the members of previous committee for all their hard work over the last year and it is fantastic to see they have all nominated for another year.

 

Can I thank all members who attended the AGM and the two new volunteers who join the committee Irene Street and Abe Wright, and a big thank you for the members who turn up to play the Saturday and  Wednesday competitions.

 

As this is now my second year as President, I will continue the role of President in a professional manner and continue being an ambassador for the club.

 

One of the tasks will be to work with the committee and look ahead for the future of Guilderton Golf Club, and as President I will be looking at working with the new committee to design and implement:

 

• A 3–5-year Business Plan designed to look at ensuring the future, growth, and continued success of Guilderton Golf Club.

• New On course projects; and

• A succession plan designed to support and train current golf club members to take on the role of the committee member in the future.

 

During this year, we will be encouraging members to volunteer some of their time, to help and support the small group of volunteers who tireless keep the course running.
